Dr Michelle Spruce is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council:  The HCPC is a regulator and was set up to protect the UK public. To do so, it maintains a register of health professionals who meet its standards in terms of training, professional skills, behaviour and health. The council currently registers over 200,000 professionals from 14 professions including podiatry.  It is an offence for a practitioner to call themselves a Chiropodist or Podiatrist unless their name appears on the Register.  You can check your Chiropodist/Podiatrist is registered by logging on to their website and clicking on ‘Check the HCPC Register’ at www.hpc-uk.org.

In addition, Michelle is also a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.  The Society came into being in 1945 and is the Professional Body and Trade Union for registered podiatrists. The Society represents around 10,000 private practitioners, NHS podiatrists and students.
